Bio: Though they were found by humans in the sixteenth century, these creatures have been traced back to the beginning. Most people view them as a threat to there land but Veniles are not a vicious species. They have been known to be a danger to humans, mostly because Veniles don’t understand not to eat the humans crops. They don’t venture to close to humans for fear of being captured or killed by them. There is an old wife’s tale that if human children weren’t good, a Venile would come in the night and carry them away to a horrid place where no food grows, to live there forever with all the other bad children. Of course this is only a myth because Veniles have no real interest in human children, they do find interest in the humans tools however.
Lives: Veniles have a life span averaging at about ten human lives. They are found in high mountains, or snowy areas. They tend to stay away from spring like areas.
Eats: Anything they can kill they tend to eat. If Veniles fight to the death over land or mates, the winner will eat the loser.
Characteristics: Female Veniles are know for there curiosity. The females tend to stay close to there territory, but they may wonder off for days at a time to search for food, or to collect things they find pretty or amusing. The females are built more for running at high speeds and scavenging, while the males are built more for hunting and fighting. A male Venile spends most of its time hunting for food, or just keeping watch over there territory.
Family Life: Veniles treat the oldest male like the king of the herd, looking to him for wisdom and advice. Most males will tend to leave the herd early on while females stay. They stay in mostly groups of six, three males, three females, and then any young they might have. Once a Venile has chosen a mate, they will stay that mate for the rest of there life, unless one of them dies then they choose another.
Ranking: The older of a Venile you are, the more respect you have. With respect comes the privilege of eating first. In every heard there is a dominant male and female. The dominant males job is to watch over the heard, the dominant females is to tend to the young and other females.
/Males: Venile males are very aggressive and will fight on just about anything, even if they know they will die trying. When Venile males fight they mostly buck, claw, and bite. Some will kick there opponent as hard as they can to break there ribs. Males are also very protective of there things, and family. Males hair color is always some shade of a dark color.
/Females: Venile females aren’t as aggressive but they will kill anything that come near there nest. When the females fight they will bite and claw, sometimes kick. Females are aggressive towards other females getting near there male, but when males aren’t present they get along like sisters. Females hair color is normaly light and florescent.
